Blairsville GA - North Georgia Real Estate Mountains

The county seat of Union County in Georgia, Blairsville is an endearing city full of culture and history. Blairsville’s history is full of gold, Cherokee Indians, and early settlers. The city and the surrounding area were known to have some of the purest gold in the mountains. Considered by many to be of the Georgia’s best-kept secrets, Blairsville offers the perfect combination of scenic views, small town friendliness and all the amenities of a big city.

At the center of Downtown Blairsville is the Historic Union County Courthouse. Originally constructed in 1899, the courthouse is now home to a range of attractions, including everything from the Union County Historical Society and a military museum to a dollhouse collection and a Friday Night Concert series. The city’s Historical Society develops and maintains the many historical sites in the area, including the popular Mountain Life Museum.
